| The key is though...if LeBron James was a free agent tomorrow the Cavs would be able to offer him probably twice as much as the Lakers would...with the $140 Million they gave Kobe there is no way another superstar will join the Lakers unless they take a HUGE pay cut. The only thing they can do, and I think Mister D will agree with this being a Knicks fan, is tank, tank, tank, for like three straight seasons and make wise draft choices. A guy like Shaq,Duncan,LeBron isn't in the draft every year though, so that might not even work. To get on top in the NBA has as much to do with being lucky as it does with anything else. |
