I think that either the Heat or Pistons have the talent to beat any team in the West, including the Spurs and Suns. Not that they necessarily would, but its not obvious that a team from the West will win.
I think that the teams most likely to win it all (based on the 16 teams that would make the playoffs if the season ended today) are:
1. Spurs
2. Suns
3. Heat
4. Pistons
5. Rockets
6. Mavs
7. Sonics
8. Grizzlies
9. Kings
10. Nuggets
11. Celtics
12. Cavs
13. Pacers
14. Bulls
15. Wizards
16. 76ers
Notice that after the Heat and Pistons at 3 and 4, its all West teams. I think that the 8th team in the West can beat the 3rd team in the East (the Celtics). |
