so little ann came to KU today and gave a speech. i went thinking she'd make an ass of herself and have some funny quotes. well she did make an ass of herself. she allowed questions from the audience but then refused to answer any of them. any answers she did give had nothing to do w/ the questions asked. she had a few people kicked out as well.
everything she said, and i mean everything, was a baseless insult that often made no sense. she even quoted and defended joe mccarthy. the only real 'points' she made were that all liberals are extremists and that they all love sodomy, gay marriage, and partial birth abortion ("sticking a fork in a baby's head" is how she referred to it, now i disagree w/ partial birth abortion, but come on).
also that women shouldn't vote b/c before women got the vote, government spending had remained constant, but that it shot way up once the 19th amendment was passed.
she also pointed out that liberals were wrong about the cold war, not sure exactly what she meant w/ that one... and that liberals lost every war. ok sure.
now i'm not a liberal, or a republican. i'm actually a libertarian. i don't like paying high taxes to have government tell me what i can and can't do. but damnit, ann is fucking nuts.
she said, "liberals are like women" and that they depend on the government for everything b/c they're not smart enough to marry well or find a good man.
there was more, much more.
i feel like my intelligence was insulted, but i guess i shouldn't have expected:BH: too much more than that anyways. |
