Heel or Face

It seems to me that it is a lot harder for most wrestlers to keep their edge while a face. Of course, Randy Orton comes immediately to mind. It's easy to make fans hate you, but to really get the crowd behind you seems a lot more difficult for most.

Which gets me to wondering about wrestlers who had the opposite problem...what wrestlers can you think of that were great faces but were never quite convincing as heels? Nobody comes immediately to mind, but I can think of guys like Ricky Steamboat who never made heel turns.
