Apparently Thierry Henry was the one who came up with the idea of the bands, and took the idea to nike. I deffinatly think it's alot of
PR for the guys at Nike. The only places you could get the Livestrong bands were from Nike factory outlets, yet they didnt seem to be as involved as they are with Stand Up Speak Up.
As for where the money goes I got this from the official Stand Up Speak Up website:
"A minimum donation of 2 Euros (£1.50). All the money raised will be administerd and distrubuted by the independent king Baudouin foundation (KBF) to support anti-racism projects and initiatives accross europe. A maximum of 25% of your donation will go towards the cost of the wristband"
