Singapore - A 19-year-old man was accused in a Singapore court of throwing a plastic bag filled with urine at his 43-year-old mother, news reports said on Wednesday.
Wang Kang Long, 19, allegedly hurled the bag on January 15 and then threatened Hong Soon Kwee with a pointed chopstick in their flat, The Straits Times said.
The accused inflicted intentional physical pain to his mother on another occasion by pushing her shoulder and pinching her cheeks, a district court heard on Tuesday.
He was also charged with restraining his mother on her bed and preventing her from moving around the house.
Wang was sent to the Institute of Mental Health. His next court appearance is set for February 8.
If convicted, he faces up to six months in jail and a fine of up to 2 000 Singapore dollars on each charge. - Sapa-dpa |
