| Okay people, heres the real deal. Kevin Nash, Diesel, aka Big Daddy Cool is the GREATEST WRESTLER of ALL-TIME!!! just kidding... Nash blows big daddy chunks.
Nash was above-average on the stick, became the best of friends with one of the most popular and eventually influential stars in the WWF, Shawn Michaels. Then gets partnered with him, and lets face it... the storyline basically wrote itself! Nash wins the title and there you have it. Of course, there was also his classic fued with Hall (Razor) for the IC. That was probably some of the best in and out of ring performances Nash (and maybe even Hall) ever had (aside from the NWO storyline). Therefore, these two factors led to Nash's popularity in WWF which set him up perfectly for the WCW.
At the time, WCW was struggling to compete. Nash and Hall were becoming disgruntled with WWF so WCW throws some cash their way... hello Outsiders... and from there its all wrestling history (new-new-new world order...)
Basically, the only reason we are even talking about Nash is because the guy got lucky. He aligned himself with the right people backstage in order to get a push. Performed well in a couple feuds and boom, an opportunity comes up and he takes it. In other words... NASH simply GOT LUCKY! |
