Strahan out for the year

In terrible news for the New York Giants and their fans (such as myself), All-Pro Defensive End Michael Strahan is out ofr the season. Let the record show that the Giants were 4-4 after 8 games last season, then lost 8 in a row after Jeremy Shockey was lost for the season.

Even worse, Kurt Warner is still the Giants QB.

I know nobody else probably cares, but I'm upet. Things were looking good for the Giants this year. A solid defense coupled with a resurgent Tiki Barber put playoff hopes in our minds. But Strahan's loss really hurts us, and with 4 tough games remaining (Philly, Atlanta, @Baltimore, @Pittsburgh), it will be tough to make the playoffs.

The funniest moment of last week's game was when the giants had 4th and 1, and wanted to go for it. Warner looked back, saw Ron Dayne behind him, and immediately called time out. He then went to the sideline and probably said "Coach, are you sure you want this guy out on the field?"
