It's not right to discuss the NL MVP award....Bonds has an OBP over .600 (MLB record), over .800 SLG....he's hitting .370 40+ HRs 100+ RBIs in a lot less at bats due to his 200+ walks (MLB record). The gap of His OPS (slugging + On base) between the 2nd place guy in the league is larger than the gap between the 2nd and 43rd guy. Plus the Giants are currently in the lead of the NL Wild card.

AL MVP has to go to Sheff. His numbers compared with Manny, Ortiz, and Vlad are similar, but everytime I turn on Sportscenter Sheff is getting a clutch hit for the Yankees, who have the best record in the AL thanks to him.

It's ironic too that Bonds and Sheff used to train together.
