| Teams don't need a salary cap to be successful in baseball though - look at Anaheim 2002 and Florida 2003. It's a poor argument, especially when you consider that there are teams that spend a shitload of cash (i.e., the Mets) and are piss poor. This isn't confined to baseball, either. Look at the Patriots - they are the shining example of smart team management - they get smart, athletic players who are overachievers (which is why I'm dumbfounded over Dillon, but whatever.) You can argue anything you want about the Sox - they're on one hell of a tear, but the salary cap thing needs to end as an argument. |
