| I don't think Davis is the best back on the Panthers either. I was lucky enough to get to watch Deshaun Foster week in and week out here at UCLA, and it was definately fun to see. I think he and Davis could make for one of the best backfields in the NFL.
As for the Bucs, I think getting rid of Keyshaun was definately a good thing, but I apparently think more highly of Lynch and Sapp than you do. Sapp was a bit of a distraction, but at least he backed up his attitude. Lynch is just a solid overall player and personality in my opinion. I'm also really not sold on Brad Johnson and I don't think Galloway is going to be a real difference maker. I think if the Bucs finish better than third, it will really be a testament to how great a coach Jon Gruden is.
Truthfully, I have a lot of work to do before I'll be ready for this football season. I'm too big a fan of baseball and basketball to follow all the offseason moves that football teams make. I will say, however, that I think the Raiders will exceed expectations. A healthy Rich Gannon, a healthy Joey Porter, an emerging star in Justin Fargis, along with Wheatley in the backfield should bring the offense back to life. Plus their draft pick Gallery should help shore up the offensive line. On defense they should have one of the better run defences with Sapp and T. Washington up the middle, not to mention Charles Woodson and the Buchanons in the secondary. They also have the two best kickers (Janakowski and Lechler) in the league when they're sober.
Damn, I'm actually starting to get excited about football. |
