Toronto is a pretty safe place. I felt a lot less safe when I lived in Vancouver. I had people firing guns off in the house next to me, guys jumping out of bushes at me to buy weed, assholes wanting to fight because I wouldn't give them a smoke and seeing someone rob an apt in the building i lived.

I have always felt save anywhere i went in toronto. There are some bad areas but no real reason to be there unless you live there.
