Like Freak said, i doubt any of the 4 major sports are rigged. The players make so much money, there's really no reason why they would. Why risk a multi-million dollar contract by throwing a game? and the governing bodies cant rig the game, because they really cant control what the players do.
College sports, however, are a different story. There are instances in the not-too-distant past of college basketball players being paid off by gamblers to affect the outcome of a game. I can see it still happening.
And boxing is another story altogether. Its probably the only sport i can think of that would surprise me if it actually was legit. and that includes the top fights as well |
