| Arizona Cardinals makeover This offseason, thanks to new coach Denny Green, the Cards are going to have 12 new starters, with six on each side of the ball. Two of the biggest surprises are Emmitt Smith re-claiming his role as feature back, and 2002 Super Bowl MVP Dexter Jackson losing his safety position after a fairly solid year, to inexperienced Quentin Jones.
I personally can't believe Marcel Shipp is not the starting running back on this team, especially after how inept Emmitt has looked over the last three years. The only plausible reason I can see for this move is because Emmitt is a better pass-blocker, and Green plans to start a three-WR base offense with a very young quarterback (Josh McCown). I'm actually looking forward to seeing this offense, as Fitzgerald/Boldin/Johnson could be DEADLY. |
