Everyone knew his days have been numbered for several years now, but it's still a sad day. Opinions of him as president are varied and passionate, but if nothing else I think he will go down in history as one of the most interesting political figures of the 20th century, and he certainly left his mark on the world.
In a wierd way, this could actually be good for Bush in his quest for re-election. Nothing evokes sympathy like death, and Reagan is getting the best press of his life right now. With all the policy similarities between Reagan and Bush, this could garner him some more support. Or maybe it won't. |
I dont think anybody should be sad about anything when you see someone live till 93 years old.
My buddy was all sad about it. Why? 93 is alot longer than I would want to live. And not for nothing, like Ida said, he prolly didnt even remember who he was anymore. They say his Alzhiemers was really really bad. Thats not the best way to live you life.
But for what its worth, he was a decent president. (Except for the whole Star Wars defense project, remember that anyone?)
