| His ring work is amazing, the psychology during his matches really draws you in (Benoit, not Billy!) and THAT is whats got him over. He visibly works his ass off and looks legit tired in there, hes not the biggest guy in the world but its his sheer workrate and ability to pull off amazing moves on the bigger guys like huge german suplexes on the likes of Rikishi. His gimmick (if you can call it that) isnt one of an over the top wrestling character but more a methodical, cold, calculating kinda guy. Hes emotionless and machine-like. That's his gimmick. Its pretty plain and lacks colour but its a gimmick nonetheless. I mean im sure he isnt that robot-like in reality, but the gimmick fits his wrestling style. |
