Yeah, but Backlash unless these guys were named Kevin Nash, Goldberg, or Hulk Hogan their 15 minutes of fame would probably be ended after three minutes so that NWO could cut a promo. Be realistic. Sure, they did have some great matches and the matches were given enough time (usually) to go on, but these wrestlers and feuds were always burried by the Main Event superstars. Their feuds were always poorly done because no energy was put behind them. The bookers, who were usually wrestlers, were only concerned with their friendships and their own wrestling status...not people at the start of the show.

To answer 3D's question though, I'd have to say it depends on when you are talking about.

When I first started watching wrestling it was certainly and entirely all about the gimmicks. I didn't know anything about wrestling moves nor did I really care. It was exciting to see guys like Andre, Hulk Hogan, and The Undertaker.

After that I became more interested in the storyline and the feuds. As I became a fan of Bret Hart I started to better appreciate what kind of stories could be told inside the ring.

Now, to be honest, I'm not even sure what it is I look for. It doesn't seem to be anything. I can't seem to find the fire that I once had.
