I do it all the time. I walk up to people and say random stuff all the time. I just always picture them walking away thinking "What the F was that all about?"
My old roommate and I would have contests to see who could stay on the phone with a telemarketer, operator or wrong number that called. He actually got a date with an operator once. (he didnt show actually go on the date though)
Good stuff. When telemarketers call, try talking to them in a cheesy game show voice. They don't know what to do. Or sound wicked interested in their product. shouting such things as "YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS?!!?" or "WAIT TILL ALL MY FRIENDS HEAR ABOUT THIS MADNESS!!" or the best one "I just farted."
