I think Assisted Suicide should be totally legal. It's legal for a woman to end the life in her womb, it's legal to end the life of a suffering animal, why not have the choice to end your own? If I had some kind of Alzheimer's, and believe me I worked in a nursing home once...it's not a pleasant thing to watch a human being's mind wittle to nothing. It was the reason I left that job because I couldn't bear to see these people suffering, alone, and abandoned by their families. No if I lost my mind to the point where quality was no longer in my life, or I had a terminal illness that caused me never ending pain...I'd want out. I've already decided when my son's older to tell him if I ever reach that point that he's to have my plug pulled. |
