I thought Raw was pretty darn good this past Monday night. I love the Raw Roulette concept, though, I wish that they'd plan ahead more, and have the matches made the week before, and then have each match's gimmick determined on the spot - rather than a match or 2 determined ahead of time and the rest being done on the fly. If done right, it might make for a good Raw-only PPV some time.

Anyhow, I thought that the women's cage match was pretty good - definitely weird to see though. The "legend killer" match was lame, but it did put Randy Orton over, so it's all good. The "strange bedfellows" match would have been so much more interesting in a time when the tag division was strong. Instead, it seemed trivial. At least they played up the history between E&C/Dudleys/Hardys during the match. Capture the Midget was more of what Raw needs - comedy! I don't want to see a full hour of stuff like that, but it made for some funny segments to give the show some variety. HHH vs. Goldberg wasn't too awful, and I think that it's wise to make the match with Kane a triple threat, since I don't know if Goldberg vs. Kane would draw as much on its own. It is a shame, however, that they aren't using HHH to elevate someone into the main event. But, then again, what faces on Raw are at that point? Moving on, the Singapore cane match was better because of the gimmick because it was the most entertaining match involving Steiner or Test in months. Bra and Panties matches are always good - 'nuff said. The Bischoff's choice match was disappointing, because they teased a Y2J face turn (which is much-needed, IMO), but it was still a solid main event, but I don't get the Y2J/HBK pairing when they're trying to do a program with HBK & Batista. Regardless, it was a good night of Raw that is building on the long-term planning that they've been doing over the past month or so.
