| CWA Rankings for 15th July 2009 Position. Name - Originality, Relevance, Setting the Scene, Spelling/Grammar, Overall Quality - Total Score 06. Jay Walters - 6.5, 3.5, 7.5, 5.5, 5.5 - 5.70
In only his second match, Jay Walters made his first main event appearance in this week's huge 6 man tag match. Unfortunately for Jay he found himself on the losing end, taking not only a steel chair from Pain to the head, but also the pin in the process. Not an ideal warm-up for Redemption for CWA's New Chapter. 05. Shadow Equinox - 7, 7.25, 6.75, 8, 7.5 - 7.30
Shadow may have appeared to break free from the clutches of Demon Deeds at the previous Adrenaline Rush, but that doesn't seem to have lead to an instant turnaround in his fortunes. Thanks to a sneaky roll-up Shadow suffered another defeat. What can possibly be next for Equinox? 04. The Team of Roberto, Adams and Ralph ("The Shining Rainbow") - 7.5, 7.75, 6.5, 7, 8 - 7.35
In other weeks, this dream team would have been much nearer the top, but surprisingly the graders have them placed only at 4th. All the same, they won't be too disappointed having scored such a huge victory over their respective rivals in the night's main event, with Roberto getting the pin over Jay Walters. Surely this gives these three a slight edge for their matches come Redemption? 03. Don de Vries - 8, 6.75, 7, 7.5, 7.75 - 7.40
For some a surprise jump up the rankings, Don is starting to make some huge waves in CWA. He may have been bested by Joey Nicholas the week before in his attempt for CWA gold, but The Elephant Man has bounced back like a true champion always does. This will certainly put him in a strong place to claim a title shot in the future. 02. Guardian Devil - 7.66, 7.33, 7.5, 7.66, 8.33 - 7.69
Well his suspension has officially been lifted. The always loud, ever charming, still undefeated Guardian Devil made a sensational return this past week, with not only an impressive victory over Amazing Shine, but also a remarkable piece of business being done between him and Charles Anderson. Guardian Devil has made his intentions clear, with his first target being Ruben Johns, but he also mentioned setting his long-term sights on the Brotherhood. Could this spell trouble for the mighty stable with their founder out to get them? And will GD's loyal fans turn against him, thanks to his new found love for Anderson? Time will tell. 01. The Team of Pain and Joey (The Brotherhood) - 8, 8.5, 6.5, 9, 8.25 - 8.05
On paper, it may have turned into a horrible night for the Brotherhood on so many levels. Not only was Alexa forced upon Daren Storm, but more importantly Pain and Joey found themselves losing for the first time in a long time. However, the more we look at it, we think this may be just what these two required. Both men may have technically lost a match, but neither man was pinned and they also managed to get out relatively unscathed. This could give them the firing power they need to beat their opponents come Redemption. So not a bad night all round after all, and of course, Alexis also received a hairbrush so it can't all be bad. Peace Deadmau5 Sells...I'm Buying?! |
