-Ted Dibiase Promo

So we opened up with the Million Dollar Man's music and he got a pretty good reaction up until Legacy came out. He was kind of on the fence for the majority of the promo, but he leaned more on the Heel side. Turns out that he was definitely a Face, booking Rhodes vs. Henry and Dibiase, Jr. vs. Orton while persuading his son that he was better than Orton but treated as nothing but a lacky. I thought the promo overall was good, but I definitely think that he should have come in as a Heel and booked Legacy into good news. The guy was a Heel for the majority of his career and him coming out being a Face was just backwards. Oh well, good first promo.

-Edge/Orton vs. The Colons

The match was decent. If the four were given time, the ycould have put on a really good match, but that wasn't the case. It was good, like I said. Definitely a solid opener. After Jericho and Edge both hit their finishers on Primo and pinned him, Carlito turned on him. This, I disagree with. They were a hot Tag Team and I feel that if they were given more time that they could have built up even more steam, especially with more interaction with Legacy. Hopefully this leads to a push for Carlito. I'm personally not too keen on Primo, but I can see the push being handed to him, as the babyface.

-Ted Dibiase, Jr./Randy Orton Promo & Match

I thought that the promo was good, and it certainly had me interested in the match. I just think that they are pulling the trigger on Dibiase far too early. They should have added a third member to the group to team Rhodes and allow Dibiase to hit up a coupe of U.S. Title reigns. He's hardly over, but unfortunately, I can see WWE having Rhodes walk out on him at the NOC. So anyways, the match was very good for a TV match. They made Dibiase seem credible as they had Orton play that he was just teaching Dibiase how much better than him he was but Dibiase was taking advantage. Orton was finally able to win, but Orton came out with respect for Dibiase as an equal.

-Maryse & Alicia Fox vs. Mickie James and Gail Kim

For a Womens/Divas match, this was very good. I feel like Maryse and McCool are the two best women in the WWE today. Obviously there are better athletes, but I just dig the mean streak of both women. It's the first time I've seen a WWE Diva tell a story in the ring since James/Stratus. Kim went over, pinning Maryse, which was weird but I like it. I think we'll see MAryse winning and then Gail taking it from her in the next coming months.

-Mark Henry/Cody Rhodes Promo and Match
We got a cute little promo in the back with Rhodes offering Dibiase money to call off the match but it wasn't enough. They talked about how great Dusty was but it turns out that Dibiase hated Rhodes. lol. Henry went over Rhodes as they try and build this weird babyface for some reason. It was either a good squash or a bad match, but it was watchable I guess.

-Jack Swagger and MVP VIP Lounge
Wow, I really dug this. I'm a subscriber to Swagger and his amazing amazingness, so that definitely helped. They talked aobut MVP and his past as a criminal and MVP said he uses his celebrity status to persuad kids not to make the choices he did. MVP also called Swagger a fraud and got in his face with Swagger backing down. This feud is going to be amazing and the match will be pretty good too. Can't wait.

-Evan Bourne vs. Kofi Kingston
So, the match was pretty damn good. I loved it. A lot of fun up and downs from both men, and Cole put over that they have the same style etc. It showed them both off and gave them both time. Bourne won, and rightfully so. This, though, led to Big Show coming out and burying both men. Two thumbs down WWE.

-John Cena vs. Triple H
But this was a big two thumbs up. Like, it is weird complimenting Cena as much as I have, but he has improved so much. Never thought I'd say that he will save the Orton/Triple H match. This match had these two at a stale mate for the entire match was was a lot of fun. I'd give it ***1/2 stars. Ended with Legacy coming down to take out both men and a double DQ, hoping that he'd have to face neither men. Turns out he had to face both as per Dibiase.

Overall

Overall this was the best Raw in a very long time, and the first one I could take seriously as well. A lot of wrestling and very little talking. When it was talking it was short and serious. Back to the basics. They got a lot done tonightm in building Night of Champions and foreshadowing feuds in the future. I'll give this past Raw a 810. Very good job.
