Re: Your Favorite Wrestling Experience

Back when I was visiting relatives in England, a few months ago, I got to see Raw. I had ringside seats and it was beyond amazing. The show itself, the atmosphere was in general probably the best thing i've experienced. I got to see the final Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho, and when Shawn jumped off the ladder, the crowd gasped, and when Chris cracked out the Walls of Jericho on the Taxi, I can't even describe how alluring it was. After that show, I got to meet Orton and Mickie, it was like a dream come true. I was talking to a security guard at the barrier, and I asked him to tell Jeff Hardy I said Hi, lol. We also watched ECW and Matt/Finaly was pretty damn entertaining to say the least. It was just good, you know, being there with thousands of people who all came to enjoy the same thing as you did, wrestling. I just find comfort in that, its weird. Oh, that and I got to see Regal win the Inc title, which was awesome because using hindsight, he had that feud with Punk.
My friend was at that show... Not sure how that's important or relevent but I felt the need to say it. Haha!!

The first time I saw wrestling live I got the tickets for free cos it wasn't a sell-out and I had connections with the company who sold the tickets for the show. Smackdown at the MEN Arena, the one when Carlito defended his newly acquired US Title against Rey Mysterio. I was with my girlfriend (who had got us the tickets) and she wasn't/isn't a wrestling fan, but always loved Mysterio, and so did I, so cheering him on was great fun.

Seeing ROH live at the Liverpool Olympia was amazing. Delerious vs. Mat "Evan Bourne" Sydal was great cos I'm a massive Delerious mark, and Joe vs. Nigel McGuiness headlined and was epic. Joe's speech after almost had me in tears. Also The Briscoes losing the Tag belts to Shingo and Doi was amazing.

TNA in the same place was fantastic to. I got to see Gail Kim live, tagging with Doug Williams against Kong and Storm. Wicked fun. Kurt Angle made a fantastic and empassioned speech, and I got to meet Joe, AJ and a bunch of others after.

But my favourite has to be Indypendence Day at Wolverhampton Civic Hall. I meet Nigel, The Briscoes, El Generico and most importantly De-Fucking-Lirious, who was totally in character the entire time while shilling his own merch, which was a feat. Plus all the wrestling was amazing and I was about a three feet away from the ring. Such a shame the turnout was shit and they'll likely never do it again...
