The Miz just had a match with the biggest face in the company. He got offence in, and got a two count over Cena, who is the second biggest superman in the company, after Triple H. Yes, the bit at the end was inexcusable, but I think you're over-reacting to the effect that it will have in the long run. Miz is an irritating heel that got his comuppence, but at the same time was battling the face of the company way before he was ready to do so, and he didn't run away like a girl screaming like he had in the past. No matter what, Miz is now on everyone's radar. A fued with Kofi for the US Title would be something that would interest everyone and Miz winning would help him along his way. He could fued with MVP and others, slowly rising up the card. Hot-shotting him at this point would only result in him becoming the next John Cena but without the drawing ability.
