The 2nd gen PS3 must have some serious issues. I have the 1st gen and it's worked perfect for the past year and a half. I did have to fix a co-workers PS3, but his issue is that he was installing the latest firmware and shut it off mid-install. It fucked up the OS, but was an easy fix.
