You completely ignored my point that even if players dive, its still a very physical game and they take a lot of physical abuse. Ronaldo dives at times but he is also the victim of a lot of strong and sometimes dangerous challenges, so whether players dive or not, to say it isn't as tough a sport as basketball is ridiculous. Diving and playacting is more a tactical thing than a lack of toughness. To use the example of Ronaldo again, he doesn't lack toughness or bravery as he shows in games with his determination, his willingness to go in where it hurts for headers and his ability to take tough tackles and get up from them.

But... I will say once again that its ridiculous to say every player dives. Sure, a lot do, but it doesn't stop football from being a physically intense game.
