REQUIEM

I think we already pissed off enough conservatives by invading Afghanistan and Iraq in the name of "world peace", although many people saw other motives behind it. But a huge portion of Americans even thought getting involved in business that wasn't our's was a bad idea, and I doubt Obama will want to jeopardize his "historical presidency" (which really isn't even historical, considering the first president of the US under the Articles of the Confederation before George Washington, John Hanson, was a quarter African American) with a similar motive Bush used to invade Iraq. The UN is a joke, however. If there was any profit to be made from Zimbabwe or Iran situations, the government would probably give the idea more consideration. But with the economy the way it is now, it wouldn't be in the US's best interests to start shit with more countries. And even if the president wanted to do something about it, it's unlikely he would get the approval of the Senate without a preceding attack on the US.
