Re: Is It Cool To Like Hogan Again?

I liked Warrior/Hogan but I had a few issues with it. Ditto for Savage/Warrior, though my problems with that are the same as most matches of the style.

I like a few Hogan matches, but they are either visible carrys (vs Rock, vs Hansen) or matches that are just fun to see Hogan doing something you wouldn't expect him to do (vs Fujinami). The guy had a basic level of in-ring talent, but the style he worked was a pretty awful one. I don't think I would ever call him a great seller or a great brawler or anything like that.

Then again, I've never liked the logic of "if a guy pleases the crowds, he's a good wrestler". Good at giving the fans what they want, sure. But then you would have to call every X-Div/indy spotmonkey who gets a "THIS IS AWESOME" chant a great wrestler too.
