God, I can't believe how overblown this has gotten. You think it needs its own
thread, for crying out loud? Did you
see how much media flooded the ice as soon as the horn sounded? And can you imagine how caught up in celebration a 21-year-old kid with as much as pressure on him as Sidney Crosby would get? If there's anyone in the league who would intentionally "snub" Nick Lidstrom, Sidney Crosby (who's as big a fan and student of hockey tradition as any captain, ever), would be the last one.
This was the best Finals I've watched in quite some time, and that was one hell of a Game 7. Huge congrats to the Pens.
