I still remember the day when Shearer went to Newcastle for £15m, and thinking that's a helluva lot of money.

It's going to take a special player, or a stupid chairman/president/owner to pay more than £80m for a player in the future.
City tried to pay 100 for Kaka. I guess you could argue its only a matter of time before they offer that for a player greedy enough to take £200k a week.
