It's unbelievable that not only did Real beat their own transfer record once this week, but they went and shattered it a few days later! And people say we're in a global recession!
I still remember the day when Shearer went to Newcastle for £15m, and thinking that's a helluva lot of money.
It's going to take a special player, or a stupid chairman/president/owner to pay more than £80m for a player in the future. |
