i'm not sure how much longer soriano's contract is for, but he only made $800,000 last year (which, of course, is a fortune to any of us, but is chump change for a major league ballplayer), so if the expos want someone to hold them off for a year or two, maybe they'll take on soriano. but i doubt it

The biggest rumor floating around NY is soriano for carlos beltran, with beltran playing center, bernie moving to left, and matsui in right. then the yanks would need to find a second baseman

as far as vlad goes, as much as i would love the yanks to have him, i dont think its gonna happen. but just imagine that line-up (assuming everyone else stays):
