| Ok. As soon as you get all negative groups to stop carrying the American flag.
See how unrealistic your expectation is?
We shouldn't be expected to get all negative groups to quit carrying the flag. Other people should just quit being so narrow minded and grouping everyone together.
Their is nothing racist about The Sons of Confederate Veterans but they can't even display the Confederate flag in public due to narrow mindedness.
Close to where I live on Memorial Day a group of Sons of Confederate Veterans wanted to carry the Confederate flag in a Memorial Day parade. The parade organizer said they could not because America only had one flag. The official definitioin of Memorial day is "it commemorates U.S. men and women who died while in the military service." People who fought for the Confederacy fit that category yet we were not allowed to honor our ancestory because they have been demonized in our history books.
It is quite disappointing for a country that is supposed to be about tolerance. |
The thing is there isn't a negative stigma attached to the American War Flag like there is with the confederate flag. Most people see Old Glory and DON'T think about the negative groups carrying it, while the confederate flag is completely the opposite. While I understand your point, it's not applicable here, because of the majority/minority principle.
