Why are we celebrating the death of so many people? All around this should be a tragedy. The killing of Jews by the Nazi army, the brainwashing of young soldiers by Hitler, the slaughter of people by the allied forces. Yet somehow this turned out to be something to celebrate? Speaking as someone who grew up in Germany, I was taught a much different picture of Hitler and Nazi Germany than most of you.
