Re: Judgment Day Results And Discussion

Missed the main event because I was so fucking tired and went to bed. Sounds better than their RR match atleast though I'm guessing we have more Hardy vs Hardy stuff to get through...

Missed most of the opener though what I caught wasn't bad. Punk's kicks looked pretty pathetic and weren't believable in cutting-the-big-man-down thing but Umaga destroying him at the end was fun. Umaga destroying people is always fun. Push Umaga.

Swagger/Christian wasn't as good as their Febuary or Backlash matches but was still fun. LOVED the continuity with both men anticipating each others signature moves and coming up with counters and both men have really developed their roles throughout the fued. Loved the finish too. Hopefully it means a blow off match on ECW or at the next PPV.

Benjamin/Morrison was alright. Morrison's dive was some serious Jack Evans bullshit and he almost fucked up the fake-out too. Never do that shit again plz. Apart from that he looked really good. Took some big bumps, sold well (at times he looked KTFO) and his comeback was also really good and he showed more charisma than I expected. Benjamin wasn't as bad as usual but he was still wasn't good. He had the agression but the restholds and weak stomps make for a crappy beatdown. Haas yelling from ringside was more entertaining.

The Miz promo was just insane. Insulting the home crowd, calling out the top babyface in the company, calling out a local celebrity, beating down a comedy face...if they drop the ball with this kid they are seriously fucking retarded because that was some serious Rock-In-Toronto level heel work.

Rey/Jericho was good fun. Probably MOTN from what I saw but nothing great or anything (which probably sums up the PPV...). Rey was good and it was fun seeing Jericho work a bunch of lucha spots like the torturerack backbreaker and the mask ripping, etc. Final minutes were real good, though I imagine they can have better together.

Orton/Batista sucked ass. The wrong Orton showed up and the wrong Batista showed up. Maybe if they had been higher on the card they may have worked harder and gave a shit, but meh. This was a bore.

Show/Cena was a let down. Why? Because of Cena. *waits for backlash*. I thought Show methodically beating the crap out of Cena was great. Cena took some sick bumps, Show was an awesome big man, loved him working over the injured ribs, dug Show going from toying with Cena to destroying him. It was like watching The Destruction Of John Cena. Then when it's time for Cena to make a comeback he just pops up, runs around and hits moves like Show hadn't just beat him to death for five minutes straight. Then in a match where's he's meant to be fighting for his life he buss out the five knuckle shuffle of all moves. Eff that. Finish was also awful and the wrong man went over in terribly predictable fashion.

Was the main good?
