| Re: 15. THOUGHTS ON - Best British wrestler ever?
Billy Robinson for sure. - Dog colllar matches Pretty good stipulation that I'd rather see the WWE use than 90% of their other stips. Raven seemed to have good understanding of how to make them work. Can be brutal as all fuck.
- Raven in TNA/ROH
I wouldn't be hard pushed to say, despite being broken down, it was better than his ECW work. The fued with Punk was good, because Raven was the star of the matches and he MADE Punk. He also carried guys in TNA to good matches too. Definately one of the reasons I got into TNA at the time, - The Kings Of Wrestling Really entertaining tag team. The CHIKARA WTGP Finals from 2006 with them against Millano and Skayde may be the best CHIKARA match I've seen. Wouldn't be opposed to a reformation if I'm being honest. It would certainly make me interested in Hero in ROH again.
- Benoit vs Triple H matches
The No Mercy 2000 holds up really well as most stuff from 2000 does, but even after the quad tear I still think their later matches were pretty good. Benoit always brought out the best Trips, and Hunder seemed to up his game. The Vengeance 2004 match is pretty good, though it does go too long and has the BS finish. Their match from the Eddie memorial show was also really good and Trips busted his ass in that match. - Jushin Liger in WCW Thought the Konnan match was alright, though I havent been impressed from what I've seen of him there. Thought the Pillman match was massively overated and full of shitty selling.
- Young Jeff Hardy
Yet to see a Hardy single match I like more than the Ladder match with Taker (maybe the Umaga cage match?). He was a much better highflyer back then due to him working at a much quicker pace, and I think he had worked better as the young guy with a lot of heart than he does now he is more mature. - TLC matches Enjoyed them as a 12 year old mark, but man is rewatching them a pain in the ass. Cena/Edge was pretty good though far, far from flawless and just shows that they better suited to multiman matches (less downtime). The ones with Jericho/Benoit and Kane were the best. - Steve Corino
Love him. Such a great heel. The fued with Homicide is still one of the best indy fueds ever, and his ECW works still holds up really well. The Tajiri match is easily one of the best matches in ECW history. - The Briscoe Brothers Seem to swing from very good to awful at any given night. Would never call them a great tag team. They have the basics down... at times, with basic cutting-the-ring-in-half stuff, but their actual tag psycology rarely ever extends beyond that. Their tag match with Joe and Danielson, for example, was pretty average. Never put them in a hardcore match as it will be a disaster. And then there is the ridiculously bad no-selling. Atleast they have a lot of personality, I enjoy their promos for the genuine retardation. I'd say they are best suited to working 20 minute sprints.
