| I read Stupid White Men like last month, the first chapter was the only thing that didnt waste my time. Beyond that there was a few little ninklings, jokes, some decent stuff, big waste of time. I feel kinda like a Stupid White Man after reading it.
I hate reading books that are too popular and new, it makes me feel like a ####ing idiot who wants to pretend he knows everything about literature and modern non-fiction, when I know sh*t.
But Im currently reading Margaret Atwood's "A Handmaid's Tale" which (Surprisingly) is pretty damn good. The main character's personality is laid down really, really well, and that intrigues me.
I re-read MacBeth over the summer and now Im contrasting it with Antony and Cleopatra which I finished reading, yesterday actually. MacBeth is a great book, as is Antony and Cleopatra, comparing them is easy because they're quite similar (In basic terms). A+C kinda lacked at the end, I guess you cant really expect the "Bang!" ending when youre reading Shakespeare. |
