Keep in mind when you watch those videos that the crowds are MUCH more lively than they are today. Even if someone does come along who can play the crowd like Rock could, it still won't seem as good because the crowds aren't as good. Having said that, I think MVP has a great deal of potential in that area. He might need to alter his gimmick a bit, but he could do it.
