College != NFL. I'd hardly say he's any more proven than what they have. When you have bigger needs (which Denver obviously did) and there's prime talent available(which there was) I don't see why you pass it up for a position that was shored up by
3 players in the off-season as well as the return of all but one of the guys you had last year. I'd say the potential for a HB injury this year exponentially decreases as last year was clearly an anomaly.
